Bangalore: Geetha Shivarajkumar who is projected as the JD(S) candidate from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency, will be formally joining the JD(S) on March 17 at a meeting of Bangarappa admirers. Geetha who is the daughter of former CM  Bangarappa is the wife of Sandalwood star Shivarajkumar.

Speaking to reporters here, JD(S) President HD Deve Gowda said he had  great respect for the Bangarappa family and added he would kickstart his election campaigning  at the March 17 meeting.

Gowda said the JD(S) would release its  candidates’ list for 16 constituencies in two days. On the reports that former union minister Dhananjaya Kumar was planning to join JD(S), Gowda said ‘he (Dhananjaya) has said he would join the JD(S) without any conditions.  I have welcomed him.”
