Bengaluru: The Chikpet police launched an investigation into five women thieves who robbed Rs 4.5 lakhs from the cash counter of a saree showroom on the midnight of January 2.

According to the police, the gang of women entered the showroom at around 2 AM and looted money from the cash counter. They had covered their faces with cloth masks.

“The incident has been recorded on the showroom’s CCTV. For the first time, a gang of women have resorted to such an act,” said the police.
