Bengaluru: BJP leader from Dakshina Kannada, Ganesh Karnik, a former MLC and state spokesperson of the party handed over the prasadam from Ayodhya to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

This prasadam was used for puja on August 5 in Ayodhya at the time of foundation stone laying ceremony for the proposed Ram Mandir.

Kanik was accompanied by MLC Lehar Singh Siroya, a close associate of CM BSY.

It can be recalled that CM BSY had actively taken part in the Ram Janma Bhumi movement in late 80’s and early 90’s. He visited Ayodhya several times.

However, when the foundation stone was laid for the much-awaited temple, the CM was in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
