B’luru riots: Violence was political, not communal at all, claim sources

Bengaluru: Ongoing investigation into the KG Halli/ DG Halli riot, which claimed four lives will leave the Congress hanging its head in shame.

As per highly placed sources, the entire episode that unfurled was not a communal riot at all, but was instead staged because of the aspiration of one individual to get ticket for the upcoming elections from Pulikeshinagar.

Pulakeshinagar is a SC reserved assembly constituency.

According to the sources in the CCB, the police arrested Arun Raj, a close associate of former mayor, Congress leader Sampath Raj.

Sampath Raj is the hardcore supporter of KPCC president DK Shivkumar. While local Congress MLA Akhanda Murthy is a Siddaramaiah supporter. Samparth Raj is a ticket aspirant for the 2023 assembly election.

According to the sources, CCB police technical team seized laptop and mobile phones of Arun Raj. Earlier, CCB had grilled Sampath Raj also.
