Ganapathi’s was depression-driven suicide, CID says in its interim report

Bengaluru: As expected, the CID sleuths submitted the interim report to the government on Monday stating that DySP M K Ganapathi had ended life due to depression.
Ganapathi did not have suicidal tendencies, confirms psychiatrist who treated him-1As per sources, the report states that Ganapathi was battling depression over the last three years and that there was absolutely no provocation for him to take the extreme step.

The CID sleuths have further mentioned in the report  that there was no death note recovered from the room where Ganapathi ended life and that it was only due to his marital discord and depression that he ended life.

Meanwhile, may have raised apprehensions over the CID submitting unbiased report because Hemanth Nimbalkar, officer heading the CID team probing the Ganapathi case is husband of Congress leader Anjali Nimbalkar.

Kallappa case

Meanwhile, a team of CID sleuths that is probing the suicide case of Chikkamagalur DySP Kallappa Handibhag met Vidya, wife of Handibhag and collected details from her. Kallappa was residing in a rented house near police quarters.
