Bengaluru: The city police arrested five youths on charge of rape and assault case on Monday, May 30.

The arrested are Sharath Yadav (22), Hanumatharaju (24), Udaya Kumar (34), Manu (25), and Harish (21). All are natives of Kaggalipura of Ramnagar district.

According to police, the five member gang reportedly barged into a farm house in Kaggalipura, where a couple was celebrating Valentine’s Day. They raped the woman after brutally thrashing her male partner.
The couple kept the incident in dark till last week fearing dire consequences.

Later, the couple approached Rajajinagar police station and detailed the incident to the police, sources said.
