Uppinangady : Uppinangady Police have on Tuesday June 17   arrested three persons  on the charges of  illegally transporting explosives at Nekkilady.  Explosive materials worth nearly Rs 60,000 were seized from them.

Uppinangady Police  traced the explosives being transported in a Maruti Omni during their regular checking of vehicles on the National Highway 17  at Nekkilady. Seven cartons full of explosive materials were seized.Those arrested are Basheer, Abdul Rahiman and Santosh Kumar of Mangalapadavu.

A case has been registered in Uppinangady police station and investigations are underway.
