Efforts on to convince rebel Ramesh Jarakiholi : DCM

Bengaluru: Amid threat by rebel Congress leader Ramesh Jarakiholi that he will quit the party soon, Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar stated that efforts are on to convince the disgruntled leader.

Speaking to the reporters, Parameshwar stated that he is not aware of the statement given by Ramesh Jarakiholi in Gokak. “He is in touch with us. We are confident of convincing him. Former CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao will speak to him,” he said and stated that a few leaders are waiting for the collapse of this government. “But I am sure that this government will complete its term. There is no threat,” he said.

He also expressed confidence that alliance will do extremely well in the just concluded Lok Sabha polling in the 28 constituencies of the state.
