Bengaluru: Home minister MB Patil has stated that he is not the Guru of major irrigation minister DKShi and alleged that DKShi is the person who destroyed the Congress in the Vokkaliga belt of the state.

Speaking to the reporters in Vijayapura, he stated that the whole world knows in whose house black money was unearthed by the IT sleuths.

“He finished Congress in the Vokkaliga belt and now he is coming to other regions. His capital is zero in his own region,” he said adding that DKShi is a colleague and not a follower.

“I have huge respect for the Vokkaliga community. Have we ever poked our nose in the Vokkaliga community affairs?

Why is he meddling with Lingayat affairs,” Patil questioned billing off DKShi as a black mark for Vokkaliga community. 

“I will lodge a complaint with KPCC and AICC on DKShi’s repeated statements that the Congress is sorry about the Lingayat minority status row, he said.

“Who is he to apologise?” he questioned.

It can be recalled that all started with DKShi apologizing in Huvina Hadagali of Ballari for Siddaramaiah led Congress government’s decision to recommend minority status to the Lingayat community. He stated that Congress will never venture into such activities in the future.

This statement irked MB Patil, the Congress leader and Lingayat strongman, who led the movement seeking minority status to the Lingayat community.
