Bengaluru: Over 50 days after he was sent to jail, the Delhi High Court has granted bail to former Minister and Karnataka Congress strongman DK Shivakumar. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to a money laundering case.

A single bench of the Delhi High Court pronounced the order and granted bail to DKShi.

Earlier, he was denied bail by lower courts.

The High Court bench has granted bail to DK Shivakumar after his counsel argued that the senior Congress leader’s health had been deteriorating.

However, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait of the Delhi High Court has granted DKShi bail on several conditions such as a bail bond of Rs 25 lakhs with two sureties, his passport to be handed over to the court and lastly, full co-operation with Enforcement Directorate officials when called for an interrogation related to the case.
