Bengaluru: Is the Chairperson of State Council DH Shankarmurthy going to be next governor of Tamil Nadu or Telangana?

If sources from BJP are to be believed then DHS is likely to succeed K Rosaiah as Tamil Nadu governor. K Rosaiah’s term as governor of Tamil Nadu ends this month end and DHS’ name is doing rounds in the political circles. The announcement of new governor of Tamil Nadu is expected to be out next week.

According to sources, Shankarmurthy had series of meetings with BJP top brasses  including BJP national president Amit Shah in Delhi last week. He had met RSS leaders regarding the matter and had placed a demand to appoint him as a governor either for Tamil Nadu or Telangana. Above all, Shankarmurthy enjoys a good clout among top leaders in the RSS and it is learnt that this relationship may get him the post desired by him. The act of DHS came after coming to know that Congress and JD(S) are working out a plan to reseat him from the position and bring in Basavaraja Horatti.
DH Shankarmurthy is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he has a graceful exit from his present position.
