Bengaluru: A DySP posted in Dharwad married her long-time friend in a simple mass marriage ceremony, setting an example to many who have been aspiring of a lavish wedding ceremony.

Priyadarshini, DySP of Dharwad married Dr Santhosh, a teaching faculty of Horticulture College in Bagalkot, at Chithradurga on Wednesday.

Ten other couples too got married at the same ceremony, but Priyadarshini-Santhosh couple stood out.

Speaking on the occassion, Murugha Math Seer Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, who was present at the wedding ceremony said that the DySP has become a role model for all by opting to marry in a mass marriage.
