Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has directed the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to stop all the residential projects. In a letter written to the BDA commissioner, he expressed his displeasure over the deteriorating financial condition of the authority.

According to the sources, CM HDK raised the issue of unsold flats built by the BDA. “More than 2,400 flats built by the BDA in various places are still unsold. Instead of taking necessary action to sell these flats, the BDA is planning to take up new projects. It will not be allowed,” he wrote in the letter.

“Following CM’s letter, the BDA decided to scrap all its residential projects till the ready to occupy flats are sold,” said an official privy to the developments.
