Bengaluru: In a shocking incident reported from the city, the Malleshwaram police have arrested a couple for using their daughter’s sex videos to extort money from a professor. The police have not yet revealed the name of the accused or the victim as the investigation is underway.

According to the initial findings of the investigation carried out by the Malleshwaram police, a girl had befriended a youth, who is the son of a professor, through a dating app. However, the girl and her parents operated as a gang. The parents made sure that intimate moments between the target and their daughter were recorded.

“Leena Kavita and her husband Pramod Kumar were the conspirators. They extorted money up to Rs 42 lakhs claiming that their daughter was pregnant and that money was required for the abortion,” said police.

According to the police, this is the first time that any criminal has used his/her own daughter for honey trapping.
