Bengaluru: The state government has decided to appeal 15 out of 16 denotification cases against BJP State party chief and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in the Supreme Court.
Earlier, in January this year, Yeddyurappa had got relief after High Court quashed all the corruption cases against him.

The FIRs were registered by the Lokayukta police in June 2015 in cases related to alleged denotification of BDA-acquired lands at Bilekahalli, Halagavadera halli, JB Kaval and other places in Bengaluru when Yeddyurappa was the chief minister.

The FIRs were registered based on a complaint lodged by RTI activist Jayakumar Hiremath to the Lokayukta in 2012 based on the CAG report on denotification of land acquired by the government for allotment of sites by BDA.

On Wednesday, April 13, the Chief Minister too hinted at appealing in the Supreme Court against the BJP leader. Law Minister T B Jayachandra had said that some private individuals had recently approached his department and urged to file an appeal in the apex court against the HC orders.
