Congress top brass approves George’s re-induction into State Cabinet

Bengaluru/New Delhi: Former Minister K J George who was given a clean chit by the CID in the DySP M K Ganapathi suicide case will soon be re-inducted into the State Cabinet after the Congress top brass on Thursday gave its green signal to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Siddaramaiah Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, who had visited New Delhi to discuss Cauvery water dispute, met AICC General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka affairs Digvijaya Singh and discussed re-induction of George. George, who had accompanied the Chief Minister, told reporters, “The party gave approval to my re-induction. It is left to the Chief Minister when to re-induct me.”

After a court directed the police to register an FIR against him and two others in the DySP M K Ganapathi suicide case, George resigned on July 18.
