Gonikoppalu: The Congress workers took out a rally from Parimala Mangala Vihara at Gonikoppalu to Kodava Samaja at Ponnampete on March 17, Monday as part of its campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The party workers distributed hand outs highlighting the achievements of the Congress government. The  scorching heat did not wane the enthusiasm of the Congress workers who trekked for nearly six kms. Musical programmes enroute  added attraction to the rally.

 A public meet held at the Kodava Samaj at Ponnampete was addressed by H Vishwanath, MP. In his address he called upon party workers to enlighten the masses on the welfare schemes initiated by the Congress  government.

BT Pradeep, Abdul Rehman, Vinaykumar, Mallajamma and other Congress leaders were present.
