Bengaluru: Hailing Priyanka Gandhi as a dynamic woman Former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar said her entry into politics will help the Congress retain its traditional vote base.

“Priyanka Gandhi is a dynamic leader. She did a good job in her mother’s constituency in Uttar Pradesh during the elections. The party will be able to retain its traditional support base if she enters politics,” she told reporters who sought her reaction on the demand by a section of Congress workers to give party position to Priyanka.

She visited KPCC office on Queen’s Road and met State Congress president G Parameshwara. She said efforts should be made to remove caste system in society. It is only the Congress party that can take everybody along, she added.
