Bangalore: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who had earlier declared to curb irregularities, has now kicked off a row by recommending  re-posting of a tainted person.

The recommendation of the CM to reinstate Prof. RK Somashekhar as the Registrar (Evaluation) of Bangalore University has aroused much suspicion. Somashekhar had quit his posting after the Savadatti Committee appointed by the government submitted its report proving the allegations against him that he had misused his posting. 

The Professor faced serious allegations of manipulating marks cards and misusing university grants.

Despite this, the CM’s recommendation to appoint Somashekhar as the Registrar of either Bangalore or Mysore University seem to be hinting that the CM was trying to hush up the irregularities.
