Bangalore : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has assured all possible assistance and co-operation to the Police Department in improving the law and order scenario.

Speaking after inaugurating the various programmes of the Police Department,  he called upon police personnel to give topmost priority towards maintaining discipline. The Department has the onerous responsibility of  launching a crackdown on criminals and maintaining law and order, he said and urged policemen to refrain from unlawful activities which, he said  would  make people lose faith in the department.

He claimed that the government has provided best of amenities to the police department. He also assured to fulfil the demand to have a super speciality hospital for the police personnel.

The government has already given a green signal to the appointment of 8500 police personnel, he said adding every effort would be made to mitigate staff shortage in the Department.
