Bengaluru: After series of kidnap and extortion cases reported in the city over few months, city police finally managed to crack at least two cases by nabbing kidnapers trio on late Monday night, March 7.

The arrested trio are Prakash, Abishek and Mathuraj.

The Chennammakatte police have recovered Rs 5 lakh cash, a car, three mobile phones, two gold finger rings and weapons used for the crime from accused kidnappers.

The police carried out a manhunt after a businessman, Gopinath, filed a complaint of being kidnapped and extorted money and jewellery near a hotel at Kathriguppe main road on Feb 22.

Police sources said, that gang is suspected to have involved in several  such cases including one which took place on Feb 4 near Viveknagar.
