CID begins investigation into DK Ravi’s death in right earnest

Bengaluru: A special team of eight CID officials, who are probing the mysterious death of DK Ravi visited the officer’s flat at St Johns Wood apartment  and his office in Koramangala on Wednesday.

A day after the state government handed over the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) , the special team of CID led by DIG Soumendu Mukharjee and IGP  Pronab Mohanty visited the commercial tax office and and Ravi’s flat in the city.  However the state government has still not explained the sudden transfer of the IGP CID Pronab Mohanty.  He has now been replaced by CH Pratap Reddy.
    
Speaking to media, Bipin Gopalkrishna, DGP CID said, “We are probing the case from all angles as we have considered it a priority case. The special team is collecting as much as possible evidence and documents from the house, office and places where he often used to visit. We yet to receive the autopsy report and once the investigation is complete, the report will be submitted to the government. This will be done at the earliest.

It is also said that the officials after opening the sealed chamber of Ravi at Commercial Taxes (Enforcement) in Kormanagala and went thoroughly into the files that he was looking into and the recent raids done by him. The officials who also recovered Ravi’s mobile phones, Laptop and IPad. The cyber crime police  are going through  the electronic gadgets, sources said.
