Bengaluru: Following the Cabinet reshuffle on Sunday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah appointed district in-charge ministers on Wednesday.
Senior Congress leader and Energy Minister, DK Shivakumar was handed over the in-charge of Mandya and Ramanagaram. The CM is expected to appoint a new district incharge minister for Mandya or Ramanagaram once he fills the vacant cabinet berth in the ministry, which is expected to go for a Vokkaliga legislator.

The district in-charge ministers have to chair review meetings of departments in their respective districts which will be held once in three months. They will have to look after implementation of government programmes and schemes.
