Bengaluru: A day after Rural Development and Panchayat Raj minister H K Patil admitted to the scam in water testing laboratories, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah denied of any scam in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Department.

Speaking to media on Sunday he dismissed the claims of BJP leader Jagadish Shettar.

Siddaramaiah, however said that a CID inquiry had been ordered into the matter and action would be taken if anybody was found guilty.
 
It may be recalled that Shettar had accused Patil of nepotism by awarding the contract of water testing laboratories to only one individual and had demanded his resignation.
