CCB raids bar and restaurant, rescues 50 women

Bengaluru: Over 50 women were rescued by the Central Crime Branch(CCB) sleuths in a road on a bar and restaurant on Residency Road on Saturday night.

According to reports, the women who were allegedly hired on the pretext of serving food were forced into dancing for customers.

The sleuths conducted a raid based on a tip-off and sealed the bar. During the raid, the bar owner, Ganga Shetty managed to escape. The sleuths have arrested some of

the staff members and customers.

It is learnt that the owner used to force the women to serve liquor to the customers, who showered money on them. Over Rs 50,000 cash that was lying on the floor has

been seized by the sleuths.

Ashoknagar police have registered a case against the bar owner.
