Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials on Sunday recorded the statement of Satvik, the brother of Vidvat who was attacked allegedly by MLA N A Haris’s son Mohammed Nalapad Haris and his associates at a cafe on February 17.

On Saturday, the CCB officials recorded Vidvat’s statement at Mallya Hospital, where he is being treated.

In his statement, Satvik reportedly said that he rushed to Mallya Hospital after Vidvat’s friends called him and informed about the incident.

Police sources said that Satvik said that when he reached Mallya Hospital, Nalapad and his associates were already there and confronted him, shouting and threatening him with dire consequences.

“Satvik also said they attacked him when he objected to their behaviour,” the CCB officials said.

The police have also recorded the statement of other witnesses who were present at the site of the incident.

“We have collected statements of witnesses and the victims and we have gathered evidences, which would be sent to the FSL for a detailed examination,” a senior police officer said, adding that the FSL report and the details of the probe conducted so far would be submitted to the court.
