Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the state police force, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently inquired about two IPS officials i.e. Hemant Nimbalkar and Ajay Hilori in connection with the IMA scam.

According to the sources, both these officials were inquired about by the CBI over various issues. It can be recalled that recently an NGO had moved the High Court seeking an investigation against Nimbalkar in the IMA scam.

“Both these IPS officials were in a powerful position when the IMA company was collecting deposits,” explained a senior police officer.

Hemant Nimbalkar is the husband of Khanapura Congress MLA Anjali Nimblakar.
