Bengaluru: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, former CM Siddaramaiah and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy seem to be determined to save the coalition government and keep the BJP at bay in the state for the next four years. Signalling that their internal fissures have been sealed, on Saturday night CM HDK met with Siddaramaiah at his residence and finalised the strategy to save the government and defuse the threat of ‘Operation Kamala’.

The CM and Siddaramaiah held a one-on-one closed-door meeting for over an hour. During the meeting, Siddaramaiah gave the green signal to re-induct Ramesh Jarakiholi into the state Cabinet. Two other independent MLAs will also join the state government.

“Ramesh may not join. If he is ready, he will be re-inducted in the Congress quota,” Sidaramaiah told HDK

“The swearing-in ceremony will be held after the new moon day (June 3),” said CM HDK.
