Bengaluru: The Bangalore University (Jnana Bharati) students living in men’s hostel locked the hostel demanding better facilities. The locks were opened after VC KR Venugopal and registrar BK Ravi assured of resolving all the problems.

All started on Monday noon with a few students complaining of sub standard lunch. Later all the students gathered infront of the hostel and started a protest after locking the hostel. They alleged that since last three months hostel maintenance work is very poor and complaints of the students are not addressed.
They alleged that few authorities are hands in glove with the contractors and hence they are being served sub standard food.

Later they withdrew the protest following an assurance from VC KR Venugopal and registrar BK Ravi who arrived at the spot. BK Ravi inspected the hostel building and assured all possible repair works at the earliest.
