BJP convince Tejaswini Kumar to contest LS polls from Bengaluru South

Bengaluru: The BJP has decided to field union minister DV Sadananda Gowda and incumbent MP PC Mohan from Bengaluru North and Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituencies respectively. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the party state unit leaders held at Bengaluru in the presence of union HRD minister Prakash Javdekar.

According to the sources, Tejaswini Anantha Kumar, wife of former union minister Ananth Kumar has informed that state leaders that she is not keen on entering electoral politics.

“But the meeting decided to convince her to reconsider her decision and contest from her husband’s constituency,” said sources.

“The party state unit president BSY will soon meet Tejaswini and convince her. BSY wants her to represent her husband’s constituency in the Lok Sabha,” said a party leader.

Meanwhile, former minister BN Bachche Gowda informed the state leaders that he wants to contest from Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituency for which leaders agreed.

Speculations have been rife that Tejeswini Ananth Kumar will be entering politics soon, but she has so far not commented on the same.
