Bengaluru: Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa was grilled for more than two and half hours by the CBI over Prerana kickback case and as per insiders, BSY, the Lingayat strongman choked and sobbed in front of the sleuths.

As per sources, the CBI shot more than 400 odd questions over the issue, while BSY reportedly refrained from directly answering most of them and declined most of the claims made by the CBI officials.

Case: Jaykumar Hiramatt lodged complaint with the Lokayukta against Yeddyurappa of favouring illegal export of iron ore by south-west company for which Rs 20 crore kickback money was paid to Prerana trust, owned by BSY family.
