Bengaluru: The state government which is already in troubled waters with the PU Chemistry examination paper leak is now struggling to convince the lecturers who are boycotting the evaluation.

The lecturers are demanding better pay scales with the implementation of the G Kumar Naik report.
Karnataka State PU College Lecturers and Principals’ Association have decided to continue the boycott even after the government announced a 30 per cent hike in the remuneration and daily allowance to evaluators.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kimmane Rathnakar has expressed confidence that the lecturers will end their protest and appear for evaluation keeping the students’ interest in mind. He also said that the department would make alternative arrangements if the lecturers failed to report to work on Wednesday also. Although he refused to disclose what the alternative arrangements were.
The protesting lecturers were accusing the government of misleading the students, parents and public.
The lecturers who boycott the evaluation on Tuesday are expected to continue their boycott on Wednesday as well.
Thimmaiah Purle, President, Karnataka State PU Lecturers’ Association, said that while the lecturers reported to their evaluation camps, they refused to carry out evaluation.
