Bengaluru: With the BMTC releasing 200 buses along with its crew for the election works on Wednesday morning the service has been disrupted in many parts of the city. The regular service is expected to resume only on Friday morning.
According to the BMTC sources, the Election commission hired these buses for two days (Wednesday and Thursday). “The buses are sent with the crew for the better management and the coordination. These crews are provided with postal voting rights,” said an officer.
Meanwhile, across the state, around 3,200 KSRTC buses are hired by the election commission for the election-related transport services. As a result, the bus services are expected to be disrupted on Wednesday and Thursday.
