B’luru police create Green Corridors for organ transport

Bengaluru: In order to transport the organs of a 22-year old and a 34-year old who were declared brain dead, the Bengaluru police created two Green Corridors in the city on Thursday July 23. The initiative of donating and transporting the organs was taken by the relatives and the representatives of the deceased.

The live heart of the 22-year-old was transferred via the Green Corridor to Narayana Hrudayalaya. The Green Corridor was created between Sagar Hospital in Bannerghatta and Narayana Health City in Bommasandra. It took place around 12.30 pm.

The liver of the 22-year-old will be taken to Apollo Hospital in Bannerghatta Road. It is yet to be decided as to which hospital the Kidney will be shifted to.

The Green Corridor for the 34-year-old’s organs was created between 3.30 pm to 4.45 pm from a Private Hospital in Hebbal to BGS Global Hospital.
