Bengaluru: Playing up the ACB issue to the party’s advantage, BJP?State President Pralhad Joshi, on Friday said that if the BJP comes to power in the state then the first decision it would take would be to scrap off the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB)
The Assembly elections will be held in the state in 2018 and Joshi was speaking keeping the same in mind.
Inaugurating the state executive meeting in Bengaluru, Joshi said that the BJP will start a state-wide campaign to protest against the formation of the ACB from April 6 onwards.
“The government is determined to put an end to the institution of Lokayukta in the state in its bid to save the corrupt. The aim of constituting ACB is to smother the Lokayukta,” he said.
Hinting that the Wakf scam at the state was bigger than the 2G scam and Coal Scam, he said that the money involved may run upto Rs 4 lac crore.
Attacking the government, he said that it was shying away from tabling the full report because it wants to save many of its leaders who had gobbled the Wakf property.
