Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will embark on door-to-door campaign to highlight the failures of Siddaramaiah government in the state shortly, according to BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao.
“The Congress government has been indulging in cheap publicity and making false claims of the so-called development in the state. We will expose Siddaramaiah government for its failure in all fronts,’’ Muralidhar Rao said.
Expressing shock over the political murders in the state, Rao said the government has failed to control the drug mafia. “We have lost a loyal activist due to drug mafia in Bengaluru. One of the accused is the song Congress Block president,’’ he said.
Coming down heavily on Congress leaders, especially Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy, for making false allegations against BJP’s alleged secret meeting with Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), headed by Asaduddin Owaisi, to break Muslim votes, the BJP national general secretary said that it was Congress which had a tie-up with such communal parties in Andhra Pradesh.
“Everyone knows the history of Congress in Andhra Pradesh. It is Congress who has been in alliance with MIM in Hyderabad all these years. Now, Home Minister is telling that BJP is in secret talks with the MIM. I want the Home Minister to focus on improving law and order in the state instead of wasting time in making allegations just to diver the attention of the people,’’ he said.
He demanded the Home Minister to take measures to nab the killers of BJP activists in Karnataka.
BJP is for farmers
He said the BJP has always with farmers and the Union Budget has also proved it.
“The BJP will work for the welfare of farmers in the country. We have decided to visit the families of farmers who committed suicide. The purpose of the visit is to console the kith and kin of farmers and express solidarity with them,’’ he said.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would speak about the future of Karnataka while addressing the gathering at BJP Parivartana Yatra rally to be held at Bengaluru Palace grounds on Sunday. “We are expecting a huge gathering at the meeting on Sunday,’’ he said.
