Bengaluru: Sanjaynagar police on Wednesday registered a first information report (FIR) against Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president Dinesh Gundu Rao following the complaint by BJP MLC Lahar Singh Siroya.

In a complaint to Sanjaynagar police, BJP MLC Lahar Singh Siroya said that since the last three days the press and TV channels are highlighting that certain entries in the papers/sheets are seized from his possession containing the purported entries of receipts of disbursal of money accounting to more than Rs 390 crore including initials of receipts and disbursals. “The person who aired them and in the press, to name one, is Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, MLA and working president of KPCC. Those entries are not in my hand writing and the signature below the papers/sheets shown by them is not mine. It is apparent and obvious that he has fabricated a false document by forging my signature in conspiracy with other persons. An efficient investigation only will unravel the genuineness or false nature of those papers/ sheets,’’ Lahar Singh Siroya said.

He said that he was making this information of the commission of the cognizable offences under Sections 465, 469, 471, etc of the Indian Penal Code. “As the ramifications are far reaching not only to the party to which I belong but also to toy reputation personally and the officer in charge of police stations within whose jurisdictions I am residing and the offenders are powerful and influential ones who might indulge in thwarting the efficient investigation. I am marking this information to you as you to register the case. It is obvious whatever is and being highlighted is a counter to what Shri B.S.Yeddyurappa of the BJP is highlighting against the Congress functionaries earlier. I, therefore, request you to kindly register the first information report, conduct investigation and bring to book the named and unknown offenders for which I will be grateful,’’ he said in the complaint to the police.
