Bengaluru: Nagapura ward corporator Bhadregowda is expected to win the BBMP’s deputy mayoral election, which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

On Monday night senior leaders of the JDS and Congress parties held a nearly 2-hour long meeting at the residence of JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda. The meeting was attended by former minister Ramalinga Reddy, MP Kupendra Reddy, and others.

The deputy mayor’s post fell vacant after the death of Rameela Umashankar.
