Bengaluru: An audio conversation allegedly between a close associate of BJP leader B Sreeramulu and a businessman from Dubai went viral on social media recently. According to sources, this audio clipping was recorded by the state intelligence department and submitted to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who leaked it on purpose.

In the conversation, a close associate of B Sreeramulu mentions that 10 Congress MLAs are ready to quit and that money is required for the same. Later, Congress leader Satish Jarakiholi fueled the speculation by stating that around 8 Congress MLAs may switch parties.

In the audio clipping, it was heard that Rs 25 crores will be paid to all the MLAs, aside from a cabinet post.

As the audio clip went viral, CM HDK reportedly spoke to AICC president Rahul Gandhi and sought his help. Later, he rushed to the residence of JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda and sought his help as well.

Meanwhile, the BJP has said that the audio clipping is a fake and a fabrication. “This clipping is the master work of HDK. He is misleading the people by creating these kinds of clippings,” alleged party leader CT Ravi.
