Bengaluru: Abhishek Goyal, DCP (CAR), Bengaluru has been charged with misconduct during the mid-career training in Australia in November last week.
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, in its letter to the State police chief Om Prakash, DG&IGP, stated that disciplinary action must be taken against the officer for misconduct.
However, Om Prakash, DG&IGP refused to discuss the subject but assured to take suitable action in this regard.
Sources said that the officer was not awarded the course completion certificate due to his alleged misconduct.
The letter written by the faculty stated that Abhishek Goyal, a 2005 batch IPS officer, has bunking classes, and also did not wear his uniform and took his family with him during his foreign exposure visit to Australia from November 29 to December 4 during phase III of the programme. They have even asked for a refund of Rs. 63,000 incurred by NPA on the training programme.
