Bengaluru: The BJP meet turned into a messy affair after Kannada actor Chetan questioned state party chief B S Yeddyurappa, over latter’s silence on according special religion status to Lingayath community.

Chetan questioned BSY’s silence during the open discussion which resulted in a bedlam.

Chetan’s move angered BSY loyalist Shivakumar, who cautioned Chetan not to mix politics in a meeting arranged to discuss religious issues.

It may be recalled that Shivakumar had created ruckus during a meeting of Sangolli Rayanna Brigade hosted by Leader of the Opposition in Council K S Eshwarappa sometime ago.
