Bangalore: The Bangalore District Administration on Friday recovered 1.15 acre of government grazing land in Amruthahalli that was encroached for the past 15 years.

Bangalore North division Tahsildar, Balappa Handigund, said that around 45 illegal structures including a bar and restaurant, two hotels, shops and houses have been razed down before fencing the property.
The total value of the recovered property is estimated to be Rs. 30 crore, he said. Criminal cases have also been filed against the property owners for encroaching government land by creating fake documents, he added.
