Bengaluru: Madikeri MLA and Former Minister Appachu Ranjan criticised Mysuru-Kodagu M.P. Pratap Simha for denying the minister post for him.

His comment has come amidst Simha’s statement that the party national leaders take a decision on minister post based on the performance.

Speaking to reporters in Madikeri, Appachu Ranjan informed that in 2019 Lok Sabha election, Simha got 80,000 leads from Kodgu. “He should have pressurised the party high command to ensure representation for the Kodagu district in the Cabinet,” he said.

“His silence hurt me,” he said.

“As per the social justice norms and district wise allocation, we are expecting minister post for the district. However, leaders neglected the district,” he charged.
