Anti-India Sloganeering: Police intensify probe, Amnesty closes down office space

Bangalore: The city police have intensified the investigation on anti-India slogan at a debate programme organized by Amnesty International India Chapter.

Anti-Amnesty protests by ABVP intensifies across State-1According to police, the investigation team has retrieved CCTV footage and other information from the authorities concern in Theological Society where the incident took place.

Meanwhile, police have issued warning to Amnesty International of possible attacks on their staff and office, located at Indira Nagar.
However, citing the possible attack threat, Amnesty has closed their office space and have told their staff to work from home and not to share any detail regarding the issue on social networking sites till the gloomy air settles down.

Police sources said that some important information have been collected and persons who shouted anti-India slogans in the programme have been identified.

The ABVP activits have continued their agitation against the incident on Thursday too.

However, police have beefed up security measures provided to Amnesty International office as well as for Theological Society premises situated on Millar’s road.
