Bengaluru: The Cabinet subcommittee, headed by home minister M B Patil, recommended that the state government execute the sale deed for 3,367 acres of land to Jindal Steel.
The subcommittee approved the proposal to sell the land to Jindal Steel which, despite opposition from several Congress leaders besides the BJP and other activists.
“The government is on the verge of collapse. All the ministers have resigned. Still they made the recommendation to sell the land,” explained reliable sources in the state Cabinet.
The subcommittee’s decision is expected to lead to another war of words between the BJP and the ruling Congress and JDS coalition government.
