Mandya : That all is not well in Mandya Congress was once again proved  on Saturday April 12. The occasion was  veteran sandalwood star Ambarish’s homecoming after  over a month long treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for lung infection.

If Ambarish fans were enthusiastically welcoming their favourite star who arrived in Mandya and conducted a road show, the absence of sandalwood star and sitting Mandya MP Ramya was glaring. The actress choosing not to be present on the occasion and her busy campaigning elsewhere  invited the ire of people of Hottegowdana Doddi who expressed their anguish against the actress for not being present to welcome Ambarish who also helped her win the Mandya MP seat.

Earlier, Ramya had raked up a controversy by stating that eight litres of fluid was removed from his lungs while treatment in the hospital. Later there was even a rift between Ambarish fans and Ramya and attempts were also made to settle things. Moreover Ambarish fans are also unhappy with Ramya for not visiting  Singapore to meet the ailing star.

There is information that villagers of Hottegowdana Doddi even shouted slogans denouncing the actress.

Ambi gets grand reception :  Thousands of Ambarish fans had arrived in cars and bikes holding portraits of Ambarish to welcome their favourite star. Ambarish who arrived at around 1.30 pm  along with  former MLA LR Shivaramegowda was  given a grand welcome by his fans.
