Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, an advocate who was shot at by miscreants in Peenya police limits on Friday succumbed to the injuries a little while later. However, what was bizarre was that a lady who rushed the advocate to the hospital too ended life soon after leaving him at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested one Gopalakrishna (78) from Kaggalipura.

According to police sources, the advocate identified as Amit (32) was admitted to a private hospital situated at 8th mile on Tumkuru Road by a woman. However, the advocate succumbed to bullet injuries and the woman named Shruthi Gowda who admitted Amit to the hospital too committed suicide at a lodge on Hesaraghatta Road.

The police sources said that Amit was a married person and has a son.

The police have registered a case and are investigating. The reason behind the killing has not yet been ascertained.
