Bengaluru: On Tuesday evening Vidhana Soudha police of Bengaluru arrested nine youth including activist Shantharaju following the complaint lodged by Ravikumar, personal assistant to primary and secondary education minister Taneer Sait.Ravi Kumar, in his complaint had alleged that these nine youth allegedly posed life threat to the minister, following an incident that took place on Tuesday at about 4.30 pm. These nine accused have filed counter complaint against Sait stating that he hurled abuses at them referring their caste.

But on Wednesday, noted activist, former chairperson of state back ward classes commissioner Dr. C Dwarakanath through his social media
post has revealed another face of the incident. In his social media post Dr. C Dwarakanath informed that these nine youth had been to Vidhana Soudha to discuss the eligibility criteria fixed for the appointment of ongoing PU lecturer posts.

The FB post states that the minimum marks for the appointment of PU lecturers has been fixed at 55% in Post Graduation. This is the same even for the SC/ST candidates, while as per rules it should have been 50 per cent. Issue was brought to the notice of state government when Kimmane Rathnakar was the
education minister. He had agreed to correct the mistake. But nothing was done. On Tuesday these youth had been to Vidhana Soudha to
discuss about the issue with Sait. They waited for more than two hours for Sait and when Sait arrived at his office he was not ready to listen to these youth.

Dr. C Dwarakanath also alleged that even though these youth are trying to register counter complaint against the minister, Vidhana Soudha police are not ready to register the same.
