ACB arrests sub inspector, writer for receiving bribe

Bengaluru: State Anti Corruption  Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday caught red a sub inspector and a writer red-handed while receiving bribe from a gun licence holder.

Both the offenders, Srinivasa (SI) and Purushotham (writer) attached to Jeevan Bhima Nagar police station were taken into custody for further investigation.

Incident:

The officer who was trapped by the ACB, reportedly asked for Rs 6,000 to renew a businessman’s revolver for personal security, when he approached the him.

Both are kept under suspension with immediate affect, press note said.
