Bengaluru: City police commissioner T Suneel Kumar has informed the Karnataka High Court that 801 foreigners are staying illegally in Bengaluru city.

These foreigners have been staying in the city even after the expiration of their visa and most of these illegal immigrants are from African countries.

“Out of these 801, 92 people have submitted an application seeking a visa renewal. These applications are being scrutinised by the police,” he informed the court.

The ComPol also informed the HC that the police don’t have any information about the other 57 persons and that look out notices have been issued to all the foreigners who are over staying in the city.
